The Prime Minister Boris Johnson, his wife Carrie Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak have both been hit with fines from the police after parties took place at Downing Street during lockdown.
The Metropolitan Police has announced it is issuing another wave of fines over the "partygate" scandal, bringing the total number to more than 50. On BBC News today, Victoria Derbyshire told viewers Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunhak had been fined, saying: "They attended those gatherings that happened during the pandemic".
The Prime Minister's spokesperson confirmed: “The Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer have today received notification that the Metropolitan police intend to issue them with fixed penalty notices."

The Prime Minister's wife, Carrie Johnson, has also been notified that she will receive a fixed penalty notice following allegations of lockdown parties in Downing Street and Whitehall, a spokesperson for Mrs Johnson has said.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon, Labour Leader Sir Keir Starmer said: "Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak have broken the law and repeatedly lied to the British public. They must both resign.
"The Conservatives are totally unfit to govern. Britain deserves better."
