When did Boris and Carrie Johnson first meet?
Carrie Johnson (née Symonds) joined the Conservative Party as a press officer in 2009, aged 21. One year later, she campaigned for Boris Johnson in the 2010 London Conservative Party mayoral selection.
It's unclear if this was when Carrie and Boris' paths first crossed but by 2018, Carrie was the Head of Communications for the Conservative Party, so it's likely they would have met by this time.
Later in 2018, Carrie left her job to work for ocean conservation charity Oceana. In September 2018, news broke that Boris' then-wife Marina Wheeler had kicked him out of their home, following claims he was seeing another woman.
When did Boris and Carrie Johnson confirm their relationship?
In 2019, Boris was rumoured to be living with Carrie at her home in Camberwell, South East London. By June that year, they were pictured together at the countryside, looking loved-up and holding hands.
In July 2019, the couple purchased a £1.3million house in Camberwell together, after Boris sold his £3.7million marital mansion with wife Marina.
That same month, Johnson was elected the new Tory leader and Carrie was seen alongside his family as he arrived at Downing Street.
Soon after, a spokeswoman confirmed that Carrie would be moving into Number 10.
When did Boris and Carrie Johnson get married?
In February 2020, Boris Johnson's divorce from Marina Wheeler was granted. The same month Boris and Carrie announced their engagement and Carrie's pregnancy.
The couple welcomed their first child - son Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson - at the end of April 2020.
Just over a year later, in May 2021, it was revealed that Boris and Carrie had officially married at Westminster Cathedral with just 30 guests present.

Though Boris and Carrie Johnson have been married for over a year, they have been planning to celebrate their nuptials again in a more elaborate wedding party in 2022.
Initially, they had been planning to hold celebrations at the prime ministerial retreat Chequers, a decision which seemingly remained unchanged even after Johnson was forced out as PM early in July.
However, it appears the couple have changed their minds after facing backlash. As the Mirror exclusively revealed, billionaire Tory donor Lord and Lady Bamford will instead host the party at their Cotswolds home.
Daylesford House is a neo-classical manor with 1,500 acres of gardens, which has belonged to the Bamford family since the 1980s.
The billionaires are known for their generous donations to the Conservative party.
