Boots shoppers have spotted a "bargain" deal available on one of the most popular perfumes ahead of the Black Friday sales.
The 50ml Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Toilette is currently on sale for just £34, half its usual price of £68. The Floral Oriental scent is a lighter version of the iconic Black Opium perfume from the designer brand, which followed the famous Opium scent launched in 1977.
The 50ml Eau de Parfum version of Black Opium is currently £82 at Boots - Eau de Parfum bottles have a higher concentration of perfume than Eau de Toilette versions. This means that while the £34 version may not last quite as long, it's described as a "daringly fresh take" on the perfume and is a great option if you want to get yourself or someone else a designer gift for a fraction of the price.
The description on the Boots website reads: "The Eau de Toilette sees the Black Opium dark coffee accord infused with a spark of dazzling freshness. The fragrance opens with energising notes of citrus fruit and the radiance of pear coupled with a floral heart of orange blossom on a comforting base blending white musks and the signature black coffee, for a women’s perfume that is uplifting and easy-to-wear."
The bargain was pointed out in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook page and quickly gained hundreds of likes, with many shoppers saying that they were heading to the Boots website to snap one up. "Nice little bargain that," one fan said.
"I couldn't say no to this," added another shopper.
"Yes it's weaker but it's half price - I've just bought two!" a third Facebook user pointed out.
The perfume has also racked up more than two hundred five-star reviews from Boots customers. One satisfied shopper wrote: "I must say, as a perfume lover, this is by far the best I have. Totally recommending it."
Another said: "Just love the smell, very feminine. Always get compliments when I wear it. A little goes along way, as with all YSL. Love the bottle too, very luxurious. Just perfect, what more can I say."
