Eczema can be brought on by a number of different conditions - with the dry, indoor air of winter causing the skin irritation to flare up for many Britons.
However, others suffer more in the summer - as a result of severe sweating, outdoor allergens and increased exposure to sweltering sunlight.
The inflammatory condition isn't pleasant, causing itchy rashes and dry and scaly skin patches - and in the worst cases, people with eczema can even expect blisters and skin infections. It can be an incredibly uncomfortable and painful thing to live with, so you can see why many will try absolutely anything to keep it at bay.
One eczema sufferer, Tayler Alexis, recently detailed how she saw a flare up on her face - with her eyelids becoming cracked and swollen, and painful to touch. However, she said that just ten days later, with the help of an affordable skincare range available at Boots, it had dissipated completely.

The MEN reports that while sharing snaps of her dry, flaky skin, Tayler said: "This was me 10 days ago, I have suffered from eczema on my face for the last several years now and have not found any relief." She went on to tell her TikTok followers how she had discovered BYOMA skincare's cleansing serum and moisturiser from the range, citing her desperation to alleviate her eczema.
She added: "I was pretty desperate at this point. My eyelids were super swollen, cracking and painful. It was 10/10 the most uncomfortable thing ever. So I was willing to try anything."
Tayler then shared a snap of her face ten days after, with the results shown dubbed truly 'remarkable'. Posting photos of her glowing and clear face, Tayler added: "After 10 days of using this product, this is my skin. I'm obsessed."
Her post soon found viral status, racking up more than 1.6 million views on the social media platform - as well as thousands of comments from fellow eczema sufferers. Many of whom, swore by BYOMA.
One, said: "Byoma is amazing. It helped with my eczema and so did the creative healing ointment," while another, added: "The milky oil cleanser literally saved my face. It has helped my face more than any wash my dermatologist recommended."
A third, commented: "I love Byoma, I haven’t used anything else in the last year it's so good."
The three products which Tayler tested were the Byoma Creamy Jelly Cleaner which is usually £9.99, the Byoma Hydrating Serum, usually £12.99, and the Byoma Moisturising Gel Cream, RRP £11.99. However, Boots currently are offering 15% off on the range - knocking up to £1.80 off the prices.
This makes the retailer the cheapest place to buy the BYOMA range at the moment, although some products have been price matched from Amazon.
Overall, the three skincare saviours have racked up an impressive 1,000 five star reviews at least - with shoppers describing the brand as 'magic'. Some however, have complained about the pump dispenser on the moisturiser, and the serum's dropper applicator.
