Boots shoppers were lining up in Clayton Square ahead of the store's opening to get their hands on products in its annual sale.

Beauty lovers are fans of the high street giant, thanks to its extensive array of skincare, makeup, gifts and more, with its up to 70% off sale often garnering much attention.

Boots is known and loved for stocking a range of luxury brands, budget-friendly ranges, as well as its own line of products - and it's particularly generous with its sale, offering massive savings on products by big brands.

This year's sale didn't see queues as large as previous years, but shoppers were still keen to get their hands on the best deals and braced the cold January temperatures to line up in Clayton Square before Boots opened its doors at 8.15am.

Ahead of its opening, there were around a dozen people spotted queuing outside the store in the city centre.

There's a number of coveted deals and discounts on offer, both in store and online.

Some of the sale highlights include huge savings on popular brand Soap & Glory, as well as discounts on luxury brands Liz Earle, Bobbi Brown, Fenty Skin and more.
