Boots shoppers praise £14 foundation that rivals Estée Lauder and makes skin look 'airbrushed'

Make up shoppers have not stopped raving about a foundation that costs less than £20 which perfectly airbrushes skin and doesn't budge.

Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless Liquid Foundation costs just £13.99 in Boots and has received glowing online reviews from converted fans of designer make-up. One Estee Lauder user said she would be ditching their £38 bottles for the "fantastic" product that they said offers full coverage.

The bargain foundation, which is also on sale for just £10.49 on LookFantastic.com, contains a built-in primer, concealer and SPF protection meaning you can spend less on other products. People have been taken aback by just how 'perfect' it makes even the most blemished skin look, with users in their 60s praising its natural finish, reports Manchester Evening News.

The foundation is made from an oil-free formula, which lays down a smooth base that grips makeup and holds it in place for 24 hours, while masking imperfections, dark circles and pores.

It has been crafted with Max Factor’s Flexi-hold technology that helps create a durable makeup-protecting film that feels barely there and sits comfortably on skin, offering long-wearing and featherlight coverage that moves with skin’s motions to avoid nasty creases or settling in fine lines.

One Boots five-star reviewer said: "I bought this when I'd forgotten to pack my usual foundation. I think the price is great, and it's really good quality for a high street foundation.

Shoppers have praised the bargain foundation (Max Factor)

"I prep my skin with skincare then primer, and apply the foundation with a beauty blender. The coverage is really even and buildable (covers my spots really well), and the colour is a perfect match for me.

"The matte finish is great because it stops me looking oily, but also isn't so matte that I look cakey or dusty! It definitely does have an airbrush finish like it says. It lasts for hours."

A former Estee Lauder fan said: "For years I have been buying EL foundation which costs a fortune. No more. This Max Factor Facefinity is fantastic. I find I only need to use 2 pumps to get full coverage. It stays in place all day too."

Another wrote: "This product gives you a nice complexion to your face makeup without showing too many wrinkles." A third Boots shopper said: "I had been searching for a while for a new foundation, this one was recommended by a friend so I gave it a try.

"It's great, its smooth and applied easily and evenly. It certainly does last all day, it feels light and colour is great for me. Give it a try you won't be disappointed."

Another beauty buff said: "I love this foundation ,it has a great coverage and does not settle in pore or lines ,it’s very natural finish as I’m 65 it’s hard to find the right formulae for older skin."
