We all love a bargain and are always looking for a way to get things cheaper. We are in a cost of living crisis after all. As such, it’s not often you’ll catch someone saying they’d have happily paid out more money for something.
But Boots shoppers have discovered an anti-ageing serum that they say they’d fork out double for, calling it a ‘game changer’.
The NIVEA Cellular Filler Hyaluronic Acid Serum is usually £19.99, but has been slashed to just £10 in a 24-hour flash sale.

Suitable for all skin types, the ultra-light Hyaluronic Acid Serum quickly absorbs into the skin, and helps to activate and accelerate the cell regeneration process. It contains 20 per cent Hydra Elixir and Micro Hyaluronic Acid to deeply hydrate and refresh the skin.
Shoppers who used the serum have left more than 100 five star reviews on the Boots website, with some saying their skin looked better ‘immediately’, while others saw results in a matter of days.
One shopper said: “Noticed a change in my skin immediately. Excellent product. Lovely on the skin. leaves it lovely and soft.”
While another added: “This product is amazing. I could see the difference after just a few days of using it. It made my skin feel nice and smooth. It also made it look younger and gave it a nice glow.”
One even called it ‘magic in a bottle’, commenting: “I noticed a change in my skin after 3 days of use. My skin appeared smoother and fine lines were less visible.”
Some said it was ‘better than products three times the price’, while others said despite buying it for £10 on offer, they’d have been happy to ‘pay double’. One commented: “Purchased on the £10 Tuesday offer, would certainly pay full price for it! My skin looks noticeably smoother, pores appear minimised, overall great product to use prior to moisturisers etc.”
Another wrote: “This is so perfect for my type of skin. I found this easy to use and went on smoothly with no residue. This sunk into my skin quite quickly leaving my skin to feel so smooth. After a few days, I started to see the difference in my skin for the better. My skin now looks and feels younger with fewer lines. This is a game-changer for me.”
The majority of people who used the anti-ageing elixir were very impressed with their results, with only two one star, and one two star review on the Boots site. Some have complained about the texture of the product, saying it’s too ‘sticky’ for them. One said: “It takes some getting used to if you don't like anything sticky on your skin. It feels tacky for hours and leaves a residue on your neck/face.
“Slowly getting used to it but for that reason I'm not using it every day. However, I've only been using it for a couple of weeks so I'm not sure if it's doing anything as yet - no one has noticed a difference.”
Available at Boots for £10, the serum was also been slashed to a tenner at Sephora, but sold out at the retailer.
Boots say that for best results, the serum should be used with the NIVEA Hyaluron Cellular Filler Day Cream, which is usually £17, but has been reduced as part of a Boots deal to £8.74.
It’s not the only anti-ageing serum to be reduced on the Boots website today though, with the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Concentrated Serum also down from £19.99 to £10, as well as the L'Oréal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Rosy Oil Serum.
Other products also discounted to £10 include the AMELIORATE Transforming Body Lotion that ‘banishes bumpy chicken skin’ and the Olay anti-ageing moisturiser that people say is better than La Mer.
