As we head into summer, many shoppers are looking to top up their tan to achieve a glowing look. And beauty buffs have found a ‘magic’ £10 product that’s so easy to use, even tanning novices can use it.
The Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops usually cost £19.95, but have been reduced to £10 at Boots as part of the health and beauty retailer’s weekly £10 Tuesday sale.
And what’s more is that the facial tanner promises ‘natural, sun-kissed glow with no streaks, no smells or orange tones’.

Coming in a glass jar with a dropper applicator, the Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning drops are designed to be added to your usual moisturiser - and the more you add, the darker the tan.
The colour correcting ‘Magic Tanning Drops’ are even formulated with SuperBalance complex to reduce redness and calm the skin.
Shoppers can add anywhere between one and 12 tanning drops to their favourite moisturiser - we love the Elizabeth Arden Lift and Firm Night Cream, which is £70, or £48 as part of the high street favourite’s latest beauty box - and let it work overnight.
The retailer has suggested washing hands after application to avoid tanned fingers, and also recommends wearing sun protection on top of your usual moisturiser. Using the tanning drops with an SPF based moisturiser could dilute the product and therefore not offer as much protection.
Shoppers have left more than 100 five star reviews on the Isle of Paradise drops - founded by celebrity tanning expert Jules Von Hep - compared to only 15 one star. Many loved the colour, the ease of application and final results, but there were some mixed opinions on the smell, with some saying it smells like ‘biscuit’ and others saying it doesn’t, and more adding that they didn’t care either way.
One happy customer commented: “This has become my favourite tanner! It leaves no streaks and doesn’t have the usual biscuit smell of other brands. Easy to apply and develops quickly and evenly!”
Another added: “Love this, 3 drops in my night cream gave me a glow, 3 drops next night, look like I've been abroad. Yes there is the biscuit smell but who cares when it's so easy to use and works.”
A third wrote: “I like this approach of adding drops to your moisturiser, it's very easy to use. The colour is great, not at all orange, although it doesn't last as long as some other fake tans.”
Some beauty lovers have even ditched their foundation after trying the product, writing: “I've used this once and omg I love it. I've barely needed to use foundation this week. It gives you a sun kissed glow!”
Another commented: “Bought these yesterday and used them last night. I added 4 drops to my moisturiser (Avene) . I woke up this morning and my face and neck had a gorgeous glow! Also my skin seemed so even, my complexion looked great - my husband even commented! Fab' product and so easy to use.”
One even said they worked like ‘magic’, saying: “First time self tanning- drops are magic! This was my first time using any kind of self tanner, I decided on the drops after being influenced by TikTok.
“I went with the medium drops for face and body - WOW. I had no weird spots or streaks and was really pleased with the tan colour. My only negative is that when I sweat the following few nights it did sweat off on my sheets, but that is the only poor aspect. I would recommend to anyone who is nervous about self tanning!”
The Isle of Paradise drops are currently £10 on the Boots website, but will go back up to full price tomorrow (June 7), however, they are also reduced on Amazon to £13.49.
The tanning drops are currently cheaper than rivals from brands like Tan-Luxe, whose £36 drops are currently down to £24.10 on the LookFantastic website, while Beauty Pie offer their Awesome Bronze Gradual Self-Tanning Drops for £40, or £12.50 for subscribers.
Alternatively, Boots have their own Glow Tanning Drops for £5, however, they’ve only received eight reviews, five of which are one star, saying the drops ‘did nothing’ - so it’s probably worth paying a bit more for better results with the Isle of Paradise drops.
Boots have also reduced the Garnier Ambre Solaire Natural Bronzer Self-Tan Face Drops, which were £15 down to £10, as well as products from brands such as Bondi Sands, No7, Olay, Soap and Glory and L’Oreal, with some of the savings are as big as £24.95.
