Boots opens Bristol Airport shop for all those last minute holiday essentials

Boots has opened a store in the departure lounge at Bristol Airport. It's ideal for those last-minute holiday buys if you suddenly remember in all the packing excitement, you left your sun protection in the bathroom or you didn’t pack enough nappies.

Travellers can also access the ‘click and collect’ service on their way and the store will be open from the first to last flight. It comes after the closure of Superdrug at the end of October.

The new Boots store opened yesterday (Wednesday, May 24) and offers a wide range of travel basics and the Boots Meal Deal selection for a quick bite to eat before boarding. There’s also the ever popular No.7 cosmetic and skincare brands as well as other big brands like Maybelline and Rimmel for last minute touch-ups whether for business or going on holiday.

Floss Walton-Bateson, Boots Travel managing director, said: “We are delighted to open our new Boots store at Bristol Airport offering and amazing breadth and range of health and beauty products including sun preps, healthcare, toiletries and cosmetics, whilst not forgetting our ever popular Boots Meal Deal. This is an amazing addition to the Travel Retail portfolio and we are delighted to partner with the team at Bristol Airport to bring our brand to life.”

Dave Lees, CEO of Bristol Airport, said the new opening continues to improve customer facilities. He said: “The major investment in the enhancements of the airport shows a very clear sign of the confidence our commercial partners have in Bristol Airport and vice versa.

“Our customers’ holidays start in the departure lounge and it is very important for us to provide them with the best possible experience. We understand that our leisure and business customers have high expectations when travelling through the airport and we will continue to strive to meet their requirements.

“We are very confident that the investment and redevelopment in our departure lounge will provide a greater passenger experience as we offer new places to shop, eat, drink and relax before you fly,” he said.
