Boots' website crashed after shoppers rushed to get their hands on the retailer's latest 'game changing' No7 range.
Launching today (April 12) the No7 Future Renew Damage Reversal range has been marketed as the brand' s 'biggest ever scientific innovation'.
Many people trying to access the website and place the highly-anticipated items in their virtual baskets said they waited for an hour, in some cases with them being unable to checkout.

Taking to Twitter one said: "Now been on the @BootsUK website for 44mins and still can't put order through? Just keeps telling me the basket is empty now (it isn't) please wake up your tech guys."
Another added: "Sat here waiting to check out for the new #No7 #futurerenew @BootsUK looking forward to seeing how good it really is? #hatewaiting #maychangemymind", as they showed a picture of their laptop with them waiting in the virtual queue.
"You need to sort your website out. If it can’t cope with a major launch it is not fit for purpose! Multiple queues for each step. Given up now" said a third.
It comes as Glasgow's Braehead store will host the launch event today, with the first 70 customers set to get a free No7 goody bag worth over £100. Complimentary fizz and cupcakes will also be on offer.
The collection, made up of four skincare products, are proven to reverse the appearance of multiple signs of skin damage.
The range contains a new ‘super peptide’ blend that is proven to harness the skin’s natural repair process and the renewal of over 50 key proteins in skin cells. The super peptide blend – which represents the biggest cosmetic science innovation in No7’s history – contains two brand-new chemical entities, a patent-pending world-first technology that cannot be found in any other product.
According to Boots, the peptide blend was developed using cutting edge British R&D across several fields of science and technology, including advanced robotics, mathematical modelling, bioinformatics, machine learning, cell biology and cosmetic science, led by No7’s team of scientists, based at No7’s scientific research labs.
