Beauty fans have been heaping praise on a budget-friendly lipstick that is said to be similar to a major branded version - but without the price tag.

One in particular is the Sleek MakeUP Matte Me XXL Liquid Lipstick from Boots. Priced at just £6.49, it is said to be a 'dupe' for the bestselling Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick that can retail up to £20, depending where you shop.
When Huda Beauty hit the market with its £20 Liquid Matte Lipstick, it soon became a sell-out. But now it has competition at a much cheaper price, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Said to rival the "game-changing" lipstick, the £6.49 'dupe' has been described online as an "intensely pigmented, matte finish lipstick that delivers extreme colour payoff in just one swipe."
With its matte finish and velvety smooth texture, the Boots lipstick promises to deliver long lasting wear that is non-transferable, drink-proof & mask resistant, so you won't have to constantly be reapplying it.
One of the main differences between the two lipsticks is that Boots 'dupe' is available in eight shades, while Huda Beauty's signature version has 16 different shades for you to choose from.
That difference aside, the Sleek MakeUP Matte Me XXL Liquid Lipstick has managed to amass a 4.3 out of 5 star rating on the Boots website, with beauty fans hailing the "smooth" and "pigmented" texture.
One shopper wrote: "I needed a lipstick that lasted all day as my lips get sore and don't get time to reapply lipstick and I was not disappointed with this lipstick at all absolutely fantastic and would definitely recommend."
A second impressed shopper said: "Applicator makes it easy to apply and glides on so smoothly."
