Boots £48 beauty box with £117-worth of Elizabeth Arden anti-ageing creams includes a full-size £70 pot

This morning, Boots launched one of its best-value beauty boxes to date. The Boots x Elizabeth Arden box costs £48, but contains more than £117-worth of beauty products and anti-ageing creams from the high-end brand - including a 'luxurious' full-size pot of anti ageing night cream worth £70 on its own.

Elizabeth Arden has earned cult status with beauty buffs over the decades thanks to its high quality, and is regularly used by celebrities including Victoria Beckham, Prince Harry and Lady Gaga to retain smooth and youthful skin.

But with many of the brand's full-size products costing upwards of £30 each, many have found themselves unable to afford them. Now Boots has launched a budget beauty box containing more than £117-worth of Elizabeth Arden products, which includes both full size and sample items.

The hero item inside the £48 Boots x Elizabeth Arden box is undoubtedly the full size pot of Ceramide Lift & Firm Night Moisturiser - which costs £70 on its own when bought separately - more than the cost of the entire box.

The ultra-rich and silky cream contains high levels of Ceramide to replenish what skin needs but loses over time. The firming cream features age-defying 3D FIT Technology to Firm, Intensely Hydrate & Tighten. It is powered by Ceramides, Tetrapeptides and Edelweiss Extract for visibly lifted, firmer and more defined facial contours in just 1 week.

The Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Lift and Firm Night Cream has had an impressive 1375 five-star reviews on the Boots website. After trying the cream, one Boots customer said: "Tried this cream it made my skin feel firmer and looking healthy with a glow easy to apply."

Another wrote of the £70 anti-ageing Elizabeth Arden face cream: "Loved it! Being 40+ already I started notice that my skin lost firmness. This cream is rich, but not heavy, skin in the morning looks nourished, youthful and firm, I think my skin would benefit over time. I used it just for few days, I had received a sample, but consider buying it."

"This night cream feels very luxurious and my skin looked much brighter after using it. I only needed to apply a small amount so it would last a long time," said a third.

"Such a luxurious cream, without being too thick. My skin was luminous after one application and felt firmer on a morning," wrote another Elizabeth Arden user.

Also in Boots' £48 Elizabeth Arden box is a 30ml tube of the brand's cult Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant. A 50ml tube of the Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant would normally cost £29.

The cream, which was created by Elizabeth Arden in 1930, is an award-winning skin protectant which deeply moisturises and protects skin.. Its versatile formula goes beyond moisturisation, working to shape brows, add shine to cheeks, soothe dry hands, smooth cuticles and nails, and more.

I personally use Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant pretty much every day, and I swear by it. I generally use it as a makeup primer as it smooths my skin perfectly before application, and hides blemishes.

But I also find the 8 hour cream an absolute godsend when my skin is dry - having used it myself for years, I can vouch that it works a treat when my face and hands are dry.

Other people agree after giving it a hand's on analysis - with over 2,200 five-star reviews on the Boots website. After trying Elizabeth Arden's 8-hour cream, one woman said: "Such a good multi purpose cream. On the face, it nourishes and softens my skin and helps improve dry areas, and I also use it on my body to alleviate dryness and to help heal minor cuts. It's so good on hands, knees and elbows too."

Somebody else said: "Excellent all round cream for dry areas of skin. Especially good dry for lips." "I have good skin but recently, after using a different foundation, suffered from very bad flaking skin on my nose and cheeks. I tried several high-end moisturisers over a period of three weeks to try to repair the damage, without success. I decided to use my mum’s ‘magic cream’ as she calls it - ie 8 hour cream. Within 48 hours all the skin had healed AND - as an added bonus- I discovered the absolute BEST primer/base for foundation I’ve ever had. I now use it daily u see foundation and it’s amazing," vouched somebody else.

Other items in the Elizabeth Arden Boots box include ADVANCED Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules, Ceramide Lift & Firm Day Moisturiser SPF 15, Retinol Night Ceramide Capsules and a complimentary skincare service voucher.
