Boom Battle Bar Leeds provides the perfect party atmosphere for fun and games with your pals

Games are the perfect way to break the ice and get a fun night with your pals rolling. Deciding what to play can sometimes be the tricky part but at Boom Battle Bar, you needn't worry as they've pretty much got everything all under one roof.

From axe throwing to darts, crazy golf to shuffleboard, beer pong to American pool - they've got it all. I went with two friends prior to a gig and it was the perfect warm up to a fun night in Leeds.

Axe throwing was first up for us - but it was axe throwing with a twist. An "augmented reality" version of the game means rather than your standard targets you can combine archery with noughts and crosses and chucking it at moving ducks.

Our host for the axe throwing, Blessing, looked after us as he set up the games and collected our axes after each go. He showed us the best technique (although we were woefully bad at it) and was smiley, chatty and helpful throughout.

After lobbing axes, which was great for letting out some tension after a long working week, we moved onto throwing darts. Once again, there were so many games to play from and over the course of the hour we got chance to play most of them.

The "augmented reality" aspect came to the fore once again as we played a classic game of 'Killer' and loads of others to keep things fresh and the games entertaining.

The drinks were flowing throughout and you could easily and quickly get served at the bar. Boom Battle Bar's tagline is"enter the battleground" and after Saturday night's showing that couldn't be truer.

The place was absolutely packed and there was for want of a better word, a "booming" atmosphere. With so much to offer, it's clear to see why it's so popular, and with bottomless brunches now on the agenda too there's even more reason to head down there.

As a trio we had a right laugh and the bigger the group, the more fun you'll have. It was the perfect warm up to a night in Leeds and if you want fun, games, drinks and a real party atmosphere, then look no further than Boom Battle Bar.
