Bookies are fearing a massive payout on day two of the Cheltenham Festival as punters once again side with Rachael Blackmore.
The Tipperary jockey won the Champion Hurdle on Honeysuckle on Monday and has five rides at Prestbury Park today.
Paddy Power report that punters are piling on Blackmore to pull off a five-horse accumulator which would see those with a €1 stake win a staggering €231,411.
Flocks of horse racing fans are getting behind Cheltenham’s most famous female jockey and backing Journey With Me to win the Ballymore Novices Hurdle, Champagne Gold to win the Coral Cup and Envoi Allen to win the Champion Chase , Poker Party to win the Cross Country and Houlanbatordechais land the Champion Bumper – all of which will be ridden by Blackmore this afternoon.
All horses need to win in order for the gutsy bet to click, and the odds of all five being first past the post for the rider who was leading rider with six winners at last year’s festival, come in at an eye watering 231,411/1.
Rachael Kane, spokesperson for Paddy Power, said: “There isn’t a person in Ireland who wouldn’t love to see Rachael Blackmore pull this off. It might bankrupt the bookies but it’s a potential hit that we would take happily take square on the chin if these bets comes in!”
