The victims of a fatal crash in the Gold Coast hinterland have been farewelled at an emotional funeral.
Susan Zimmer, 70, and her daughter Steffanie Zimmer, 35, were killed in a head-on collision at Bonogin.
Retired doctor Chris Fawcett, 79, who was in the car with the pair, also died in the crash.
Friends and family of the Zimmers gathered for a memorial service at the Mudgeeraba Showgrounds on Friday.
Susan's daughter, Claudine Snow, delivered a touching tribute to her mum who was the full-time carer for her only sibling and "beautiful" sister, Steffanie.
"They were inseparable and now they will be together forever," Mrs Snow said.
"I wish I could wake up from this nightmare and you could both come back to me.
"She found her piece of paradise in Bonogin and loved the community dearly.
"She would be so relieved knowing this beautiful community has wrapped its arms around us."
Susan was a champion figure skater and roller skater in her youth and would still show off her athleticism to friends and family by doing the splits.
Her favourite pair of skates sat atop her coffin today.
Steffanie was remembered as a "ball of energy" who carried her childlike nature into adulthood.
A former state champion runner and national record holder, Steffanie competed at the world athletics championships and Beijing Paralympic trials.
"She would introduce herself to everyone she met and ask deeply personal questions, including people's marital status," Mrs Snow said.
"Something she would always say was, 'I'm still here, Claudie'.
"Now you're not still here and it hurts as much as I can bear."
Police allege the car they were driving was hit by an SUV driven by the mother of NRL player Payne Haas, Uitau "Joan" Taufua.
The 46-year-old had allegedly failed to stop for police and was speeding on the wrong side of Bonogin Road in the lead up to the crash on December 23.
Ms Taufua survived and was pulled from the burning wreckage of her vehicle with a broken sternum and broken arm.
She was charged with three counts of manslaughter and one count each of evading police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving unlicensed.
