Bonfires and fireworks displays in Salford in 2019

Bonfire Night is almost upon us and of course it's a date we tend to remember.

Events to mark the occasion will be taking place across Greater Manchester on November 5 at parks, clubs and community centres as well as many a back garden as we all wrap up warm and head outside to watch the night sky come to life.

Salford is one of the boroughs getting in on the action with the City Council's own organised displays meaning you don't have to plan a single thing except for how to get there.

You can find all the details you need on the events below.

Let us know if we have missed your event by emailing us on website@men-news.co.uk

Friday November 1

Prince's Park

A few days before the big day itself, a bonfire and fireworks display will take place at Prince's Park in Irlam.

The event starts at 5pm with the bonfire being lit at 7pm. The fireworks will begin at 7.30pm and the evening will be all wrapped up by 9.30pm.

An extra addition to this year's display is The Bones of Paine, a ghostly puppet and skeleton parade which aims to mix the celebration of the day before, Halloween, with Bonfire Night.

The address is: Prince's Park, Liverpool Road, Irlam, M44 6BJ

Tuesday November 5

Buile Hill Park

Remember, remember the fifth of November as Buile Hill Park will host its Bonfire Night display.

Similarly, the event starts at 5pm with the bonfire being lit at 7pm. The fireworks will begin at 7.30pm and the evening will come to a close at 9.30pm.

There will also be the Little Sparks in the Park at 5.30pm - a smaller display with low noise that has been specifically designed for younger children.

Not that only groups with children under seven can enter the viewing zone.

The address is: Buile Hill Park, Eccles Old Road, Salford, M6 8GL

Both of the events above are free to enter. There is no parking at the venue and no alcohol or personal fireworks are allowed.

Bag searched will also take place at the main gates.

Other events noted by Salford City Council include:
