Although talk of Christmas is already in the air, it's time to take a look at one of autumn's most celebrated dates - Bonfire Night .
People come together to set the sky alight to mark the evening Guy Fawkes plotted to blow up Parliament on November 5, 1605.
Every year the tradition follows, and this year the big day falls on a Tuesday.
Fireworks and bonfires are set to be lit across Greater Manchester, but if you're an Oldham local or visiting the area, then here are the events taking place:

November 2
Springhead AFC - Family Bonfire
The annual event will be taking place at the Clubhouse in aid of the Clubhouse & Pitch Redevelopment. Mulled Wine, hot chocolate, burgers and hotdogs will be on offer.
Gates will open at 6pm for the bonfire to be lit at 6.30pm, while the firework display will commence at 7.15pm.
Pre-purchased tickets are available from behind the club bar (open Saturday afternoons) at a cost of £3 for adults - or £4 on the night.
Kids under the age of 16 go free.
Address: The club House off St john Street, Lees, Oldham, Lancashire, OL43DN.
November 5
Big Bang Bonfire
With a space theme to mark the Apollo 11 50-year anniversary, locals are asked to "take this opportunity to witness an ‘atmospheric’ soundscape of fireworks that will bring the space mission back to life over Oldham Edge Playing Fields."
As well as a firework display, there will be fire-themed entertainment, music and dance.
The event starts at 5pm with funfair rides and food stalls, with a stage show to begin at 6pm.
No tickets are needed as the event is free.
Adress: Oldham Edge, Oldham, Lancashire, OL1 2HD.
