With November fast approaching, Brits will soon start stocking up on sparklers, fireworks, and firewood in the run-up to Bonfire Night.
The annual celebration, taking place on November 5 every year, is also known as Guy Fawkes Night and marks the failure of the Gunpowder Plot.
The countdown is now on before night skies around the UK illuminate with colours to celebrate the winter event.
In London, there are also plenty of official events taking place this year, where you can catch a glimpse of impressive fireworks shows and bonfires.

When is Bonfire night 2023?
Bonfire night is held on November 5 each year.
This year, Bonfire night falls on a Sunday. However, we can expect lots of events taking place around the city throughout the weekend.
This will range from small backyard gatherings and bonfires at the local pub to official events in the city centre welcoming thousands of people.
Where to see fireworks in London this Bonfire night
Alexandra Palace
Alexandra Palace will be hosting two nights of fun on November 3 and 4. Expect to see some big-name music acts, jaw-dropping firework displays, and spectacular views across London. Tickets cost £17.
Friday fireworks at 9pm.
Saturday fireworks at 8pm.
Battersea Park
Arguably one of South London's biggest firework displays, Wandsworth Council is hosting a two-day event on November 4 and 5 in Battersea Park.
There will be an impressive bonfire, fireworks, and DJs on hand. Tickets cost £13.53.
Dulwich Sports Club
Another South London hotspot for bonfire night activities is happening in Dulwich. The event is going for a family-friendly vibe, bringing back its "kids for a quid" offer.
Standard adult tickets are £12.89.
Beckenham
Held at Croydon Recreation Ground, this year's Beckenham Firework Show is a family-friendly event that offers one quieter firework display before the main event.
Quieter firework display at 6pm.
Main display at 7.45pm.
Adult tickets are £15, kids tickets are £5, and under-fives go free.
Hammersmith & Fulham Fawkes Festival
Taking place at Ravenscourt Park, this year, organisers have opted for an eco-friendly celebration by putting on a light show. Expect breath-taking lights and lasers, face painting, and interactive entertainment. Limited tickets remain for the event on November 3 and 4.
Guests can catch showings at 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm.
Adult tickets are £13.88, kids' tickets are £9.45, and children under three years old go free.
Richmond
Richmond's family-friendly event will be taking place on November 5 at Richmond Athletic ground. Entertainment will start at 6pm before the main fireworks event at 7pm.
Ticket cost £12 for adults and £6 for children (ages five to 15).
Wimbledon Park
Held on November 4, Wimbledon's firework display will be split into two parts and cater to two different music tastes.
Magical tune fireworks at 5.15pm.
One-hit wonders theme fireworks at 8.30pm.
Tickets cost £9 for adults, £7 for kids, and under-fives go free.
Morden Park
Those who caught a glimpse of Wimbledon's fireworks on November 4 may also want to head over to neighbouring Morden Park on November 5 for more bonfire fun.
The event, organised by the same council, will also have a musical theme similar to Wimbledon Park and will have the same running order.
Coram's Fields
This year's firework display at Coram's Fields in Camden caters to younger viewers who still want to get in on the bonfire fun. This family-friendly event starts at 3.30pm on November 3 and fireworks start at 6pm.
It's free entry, but you can reserve tickets for certain viewing spots.
Barnes Sports Club
Bonfire celebrations in Barnes will take place on November 4. Guests can expect a classic display of fireworks, bonfires, food vendors and a licensed bar.
