Bolton Wanderers 2022/23 League One fixtures in full as season begins away to Ipswich Town

Bolton Wanderers will begin the 2022/23 League One season on the road against Ipswich Town.

Wanderers finished last season ninth in League One, a good achievement for a newly promoted side to the division. But this campaign, Wanderers have their sights firmly set on a promotion challenge and are seeking to return to the Championship for the first time since 2019.

And Ian Evatt's men will begin their campaign on the road against the Tractor Boys on July 30, whom they defeated 5-2 at Portman Road last season in emphatic fashion. Wanderers completed the double over Ipswich with a 2-0 win at the University of Boltomn Stadium.

Bolton's first home game of the season will be against defeated play-off finalists Wycombe Wanderers in a challenging start to the season. In their first 11 games Wanderers will also face Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth Argyle, MK Dons, Peterborough United and Portsmouth.

On Boxing Day, Wanderers will be at home against Wayne Rooney's Derby County. On New Year's Day, they will be on the road to face Barnsley at Oakwell.

Bolton's final home game of the season will be against Fleetwood Town, like it was in the recently concluded 2021/22 season. They will end the campaign on the road against newly promoted Bristol Rovers.
