Bolton's best beer gardens and outdoor drinking areas

Summer is an unpredictable time in the North.

Is it going to rain? Will we get a heatwave? The truth is, we just don't know.

But what we can do is prepare for when the sun has in fact got its hat on and we all go on the ultimate mission to find a seat at a beer garden or at least get a seat outside to bask in the sunshine.

In a bid to help, we have rounded up some of Bolton 's best beer gardens as well as pubs, bars and restaurants with ideal outdoor seating so you can be the first with your sunglasses on and a beverage in hand.

Gin not your thing? The large pub also has its own micro-brewery just next door providing customers with four different types of cask ales.

But of course, what we are thinking about is the beer garden - which is decorated just as grandly as the inside.
