Bologna manager Thiago Motta has spoken out for the first time on Marko Arnautovic amid transfer links to Everton.
The Blues are without a manager after sacking Frank Lampard. Sean Dyche, Marcelo Bielsa and Davide Ancelotti are all said to be in the mix to replace the former England international.
But despite being managerless, that has not stopped Everton from attempting to bolster their relegation-threatened squad. They have yet to make a signing during the transfer window, however, after Tottenham Hotspur swooped in to steal Arnaut Danjuma from under their noses.

But on Wednesday the Telegraph reported that veteran Austrian striker Arnautovic had emerged as a possible emergency signing for the Blues. And further reports in Italy suggest that there has been contact from the Goodison Park outfit for the former Stoke City goal-getter.
Amid the speculation, Motta has claimed he is not aware of any approaches from the Premier League for his side's leading scorer.
“I don’t know, he’s never said anything to me," said the former Italy international via Sport Mediaset. "Better ask Marko. He’s recovering, but we don’t have recovery time."
Arnautovic has been in good form for the Serie A outfit since signing from Shangai Port in 2021. Following his arrival in the Italian top flight, he has scored 22 goals in 47 league appearances - including eight times in 16 domestic outings this campaign.
The 33-year-old is currently out with a sprain and is expected to be out of this weekend's clash against Speiza, but to return the week after.
