Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo is a rocket and Celtic have ruined our plans moans Rapid Vienna boss

Rapid Vienna boss Dietmar Kuhbauer has bemoaned Celtic 's £3 million swoop for Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo and insisted it's ruined his plans for this season.

The Belgian full back - who has been likened to a rocket by Kuhbauer due to his pace - made his Hoops debut last week in their 3-1 Champions League qualifying win in Bosnia against FK Sarajevo before hobbling off with an ankle injury.

He's expected to be fit soon, but the Austrian side have underlined how important Bolingoli was to their team.

Kuhbauer said: "We worked so hard last season on a 3-5-2 system, but the loss of Boli Bolingoli has hurt us terribly.

"He would have raced up the left wing like a rocket in this system. He's a massive loss.

"And he is proving to be incredibly difficult to replace. Any time we want to look at a player, it seems his value goes up by hundreds of thousands because the selling club knows we have money.

"Boli has left a big hole in our team."

Bolingoli didn't feature in Saturday's goalless draw against Rennes, but Neil Lennon says he could be back for the second leg against Sarajevo on Wednesday.
