Boli Bolingoli 'in talks' for Celtic transfer exit as outcast nears end of his Parkhead error

Celtic outcast Boli Bolingoli could finally be set for the exit door as it's reported he's in talks over a move to Russia.

The left-back joined from Rapid Vienna in the summer of 2019 but failed to impress under Neil Lennon.

The Belgian then caused uproar by breaking Covid rules in travelling to Spain without authorisation from the club, failing to quarantine on his return then coming on as a substitute against Kilmarnock.

That was his only appearance of the season and Boligoli was loaned out to Istanbul Basaksehir, but his move wasn't made permanent after a serious knee injury.

Under Ange Postecoglou he's made two appearances this season but hasn't featured since October and it appears there is no way back for him at Celtic.

According to journalist Peter O'Rourke, Bolingoli is now in talks over a move to Russian Premier League side Ufa.

Thanks to the extended winter break necessary due to the extreme cold, the window in Russia is open until February 22.

That means Bolingoli could complete his move in the next five days and finally end his difficult spell in Scotland.

He is not in the Celtic squad for their games in the Europa Conference League and after Greg Taylor's return from injury is unlikely to play domestically either.
