Bojan Miovski reveals the Aberdeen transfer sell that won him over as he raves about Duk double act

Delighted Bojan Miovski has waxed lyrical about his deadly double act with Luis 'Duk' Lopes which has yielded 20 goals this season.

Punters in the Granite City are full of belief due largely to their front two's perfect partnership as Jim Goodwin's side are in the mix to finish third and secure guaranteed European group stage football next season. Aberdeen have suffered several sobering away days but goals from Miovski and Duk have the Dons ahead of Hearts and the rest of the chasing the pack to finish the best of rest behind Celtic and Rangers.

And now 23-year-old Miovski – speaking exclusively to Record Sport about his lethal partnership with the former Benfica graduate – believes they can continue their exploits with the Viaplay Cup semi-final with Rangers looming in January. He said: "I share a great deal of understanding with Duk on the pitch and we complement each other as we are two totally different types of forwards. He can keep hold of the ball much better than me due to being physically stronger and he is always double marked by defenders which opens a space for me to run in behind. We simply work brilliantly together in attack."

Miovski's exploits since joining from MTK Budapest has led to a host of clubs chasing his signature, however, Record Sport understands both the player and club are in no rush to call time on his burgeoning stay in the Granite City. And he has hailed boss Jim Goodwin for selling the Macedonia international on his Pittodrie vision and his understanding of getting the best out of him.

He added: "Upon coming to Scotland, I knew that the physical side of the game could be a challenge for me because I am not a classic target man, but the coach (Jim Goodwin) assured me that Aberdeen is working hard to develop a more technical style of play which suits my game better.

"I am pretty active in the gym to improve my physicality and become stronger, but in the meantime, I use my pace and flair on the pitch to avoid duels with the more physical centre-backs who are targeting me," writes Filip Mishov.
