During 19 -21 August 2022, The Thailand Board of Investment hosted the 2nd APEC Investment Experts’ Group (APEC IEG) meeting, a working group under the APEC Senior Official Meeting (SOM) framework, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Chiang Mai.
The meeting aimed to promote the exchange of information regarding investment policies and practices among APEC members. The meeting discussed investment cooperation regarding The Investment Facilitation Action plan (IFAP), policies and tools to promote sustainable investment in line with the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model.
As part of the IEG, H.E. Dr Angela Macdonald PSM Australian Ambassador to Thailand and Ms. Sonklin Ploymee, Deputy Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) co-hosted, on August 19, a Symposium on Green Foreign Direct Investment and Sustainable Infrastructure in a Changing World, which was attended by some 100 people.
