Bohemians have bolstered their defence ahead of tomorrow’s transfer deadline with the signing of Polish centre-back Krystian Nowak.
Nowak, 28, arrives from Romanian side Universitatea Cluj and also had a spell in Scotland with Hearts and with clubs in Poland, Greece and Croatia.
Gypsies boss Declan Devine said: “Krystian is exactly the type of experienced defender I wanted to bring to the club in this window.
“He has had a great career so far, has played in some top leagues and he is a really good age profile for us.
“We knew we had to strengthen in defence and we have done that now over the past couple of weeks.
“Krystian now gives us that extra bit of experience that we needed at the back.”
Nowak was capped up to Under-21 level for Poland and Devine continued: “We’ve had a lot of new arrivals in this window.
“The group is gelling well and I feel we’ve serious competition for places right across the squad.
“We’re delighted to get Krystian in and we’re really looking forward to seeing what he will bring to the group.”
Bohs made the perfect start to the season with an opening night win away to Cork City and host Dundalk this Friday.
