Bodybuilder dubbed The Monster injects himself with OIL to boost 23-inch biceps

A bodybuilder injects his arms with OIL in a bid to boost his biceps to a massive 23 inches.

Valdir Segato, in his early 50s, regularly injects himself with the fluid, despite being warned he risks severe nerve damage, disfigurement and even amputation.

Segato, from Sao Paulo, is known as 'The Monster' in the streets of his neighbourhood after being inspired by the physiques of Arnold Schwarzenegger and fictional Marvel character, The Hulk.

The construction worker pumps himself with the Synthol injections, which are made up of 85% oil, often sesame oil, 7.5% lidocain, a painkiller, and 7.5% alcohol.

The muscle mad Brazilian regularly posts on social media, calling himself 'Valdir Synthol'.

His most frequent caption on Instagram is simply 'NO PHOTOSHOP,' but this does little to stop the speculation, accusations and insults.

"Nice photoshop", writes @k.r.i.s.h123 sarcastically, while @wolf_pack_556claims bluntly, "Your biceps are fake".

Others are equally unkind, such as @tariqziayd who comments: "Please stop. u look so ugly."

Many more claim that his pumped up pecs have gone too far and look more like breasts.

"Do they bounce when you run like... I think you could totally have a Baywatch moment," comments @seejohnboy23, and @1azeiz says, "Man ..u have to wear some bras."

As well as his photographs, construction worker Valdir regularly shares videos of himself flexing his muscles for his 18,700 followers, drawing a wide range of responses.

Previously speaking, Segato explained how during his youth he was a scrawny drug addict nicknamed 'Skinny Dog' to those who knew him.

But, after quitting drugs and joining a gym - Segato found a passion for bulking.

However, after months of bodybuilding at the gym, Segato found he wasn't achieving his desired look with exercise alone.

He was then offered a Synthol injection by someone at the gym and soon became hooked on the substance.

Despite changing his physique drastically, the injections don't actually make Segato any stronger.

Three years ago, he was given a stark warning by doctors who said if he didn't stop he could risk amputaion.

Segato said at the time: "The doctors tell me to stop it, the advice they give me is to stop using.

"But it's my decision to use it because I want to, because I like to."
