A body was recovered from the water near the Poolbeg Lighthouse following a joint operation from gardai and the Coast Guard last week.
The incident happened on April 5 at the Great South Wall. The Dun Laoghaire Coast Guard and RNLI Dun Laoghaire Lifeboat Station attended the scene following a request from gardai.
The Dun Laoghaire Coast Guard said on Twitter: "Team requested to assist Gardai with reports of a casualty in the water off Poolbeg lighthouse.

"RNLI Dun Laoghaire Lifeboat Station ILb also tasked. RNLI Dun Laoghaire Lifeboat Station ILb crew recovered casualty from the water.
"Our sincere condolences to deceased family and friends. May they rest in peace."
A garda spokeswoman said: "Following reports of a body in the water at Great South Wall in Ringsend, a recovery operation was conducted in conjunction with Coastguard on 5 April 2023."
