The body of an unidentified person has been found in water close to a housing estate.
The grim discovery was made on Westerpark Avenue in Blantyre around 5:25pm yesterday evening (February 28).
The find was made in an area of parkland which is popular with dog walkers next to the estate.
Police say enquiries are ongoing into the discovery, Lanarkshire Live reports.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 5.25pm on Monday, February 28, officers discovered a body in the water at Westerpark Avenue, Blantyre.
"Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information in relation to the incident is asked to call Police Scotland on 101.
"Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where you can give your information anonymously."
