A body has been pulled from a canal in West Lothian sparking a sudden investigation by police.
The grim discovery was made in the water near Strawberry Bank in Linlithgow at around 9.30am on Tuesday, February 21.

Police were called to the scene after the alarm was raised and are understood to still be in attendance report the Record.
Eyewitnesses claim that police officers have cordoned off sections of Strawberry Bank and the nearby Manse Road while enquiries are ongoing.
The cause of death is not yet clear and the gender of the person involved has not yet been disclosed.
Police Scotland have confirmed they are investigating the unexplained death and inquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Officers are in attendance at Strawberry Bank, Linlithgow following the discovery of a body within the water."
