The body of a 41-year-old woman has been found on an Aberdeenshire beach. The unidentified woman was discovered at New Aberdour Beach and her death is being treated as unexplained - but officers do not believe there were suspicious circumstances.
Cops raced to the scene earlier today after the alarm was raised at around 1.50pm. Shortly afterwards, they were joined by Fraserburgh lifeboat crews who were deployed to assist officers reports AberdeenLive.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We were called to a report of the body of a 41-year-old woman having been found on the beach at New Aberdour, Fraserburgh, around 1.50pm on Tuesday, 28 February, 2023.
“The death is being treated as unexplained but there are no apparent suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
