Body of woman found at Scots high-rise flats as forensic officers race to scene

The body of a woman has been discovered outside a high-rise block of flats in Aberdeen after an early morning incident.

Officers were called to the scene of the grim discovery at the 19-storey Linksfield Court, Regent Walk in Seaton, just after 5am on Thursday May 5.

The body was discovered at the rear of the building.

Pictures from the scene show forensic officers working within a police cordon, with a blue tent also erected.

Police have since launched a probe and are working to establish the exact cause of death.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.10 am on Thursday, 5 May, 2022, police were called after a woman was found deceased at the rear of flats on Linksfield Court, Regent Walk, Aberdeen.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact cause of her death.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
