A probe has been launched after the body of a woman was found in a Scots river.
The discovery was made at around 8am on Wednesday morning, July 12, in the River Conon in Dingwall.
Officers from Police Scotland are still at the scene while enquiries are carried out.
Local reports suggest that a bridge over the River Canon was taped off this morning and closed to vehicles as well as pedestrians.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8am on Wednesday, 12 July, 2023 the body of a woman was discovered in the River Conon, Dingwall.
“Officers are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing.”
