Body of man found in Dunfermline flat as 'unexplained death' probed

Police have launched a probe after a man was found dead within a flat in Dunfermline.

Emergency services raced to Beath View at around 1pm yesterday after receiving a report of concern for the person inside.

The 53-year-old man was sadly found dead.

His death is being treated as unexplained .

An image posted on Fife Jammers showed a police cordon taping off at least three blocks of flats in the area around at Abel Place whilst investigations were carried out.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 1.20pm on Monday, 7 March, 2022, to a report of a concern for person in Beath View, Dunfermline.

"Officers attended and the body of 53-year-old man was found within.

"The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
