The body of a man has been found near containers of potentially hazardous material.
Police, firefighters and paramedics swarmed a street in Lancashire, after reports of a sudden death at a terraced house.
Emergency services found a man in his 30s dead inside the building in the town of Brierfield along with the containers on Saturday afternoon.
Police have acted to reassure residents that there is not believed to be a wider threat to the public and the man's death is not being treated as suspicious.
A cordon was placed around the address in Hartington Street as a precaution and the material was removed by specialist officers.
The cordon was lifted this morning while a police car remains parked outside the property, LancsLive reports.
No flowers or tributes have been left outside the property and Lancashire Constabulary says there is no further update to its ongoing investigation.
The man has not yet been named and the type of potentially hazardous material has not been disclosed.
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added: "At present, we cannot make any further comments on the incident on Hartington Street as the investigation is still on-going. This is a police-led investigation."
In a statement issued on Sunday, a police force spokesperson said: "We were called to the house at around 3.20pm yesterday (Saturday, July 2) to reports of a sudden death. On attendance emergency services sadly discovered a body, believed to be that of a man aged in his 30s.
"His death is currently being treated as non-suspicious. On attendance at the scene we also found containers of what is believed to be a potentially hazardous material, and we remain at the scene recovering this with assistance from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.
"There is not believed to be any wider threat to the public at this time, however the building has been evacuated as a precaution."
