Body of man, 49, found in Paisley

The body of a man has been found in Paisley.

Police were called to the property in the town's Candren Road this morning following reports of a sudden death.

Officers remained on the scene this afternoon, with photos showing a police car parked on the street.

Police confirmed a 49-year-old man had been found within the property and that the death was currently being treated as unexplained.

It was also confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of the sudden death of a 49-year-old man at a property on Candren Road in Paisley around 9.05am on Tuesday, March 8.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.”
