Body Language Expert Claps Back After Receiving Cease & Desist Letter From MAFS’ Clint & Jacqui

Married At First Sight (MAFS) stars Clint Rice and Jacqui Burfoot have allegedly sent a cease and desist letter to a body language expert who has been deciphering their on-camera interactions.

Scott Taylor, who refers to himself as a combined communications specialist, has been breaking down the non-verbal communication styles of various MAFS contestants.

On Friday, Taylor weighed in on the body language between Clint and Jacqui on a PEDESTRIAN.TV video, after Jacqui indirectly shaded him and his body-reading abilities. You can watch both videos below.

After all your requests, sharing my thoughts on the recent @PEDESTRIAN.TV video where J&C mentioned some “so called body language expert”. Based on the topic, and not knowing who they are referring to, I’ve recorded a quick video. As always, love to hear your feedback. Stay safe and well. #mafsaustralia #mafs #mafsau #marriedatfirstsight #bodylanguage

A few days after sharing his video on social media, Scott claimed that he received a cease and desist letter from Clint.

Scott shared the letter, along with a lengthy statement, on TikTok.

“I have just received a cease and desist letter from Clint Rice relating to Clint Rice and Jacqui Burfoot regarding my behaviour review videos. The letter, not marked as private and confidential, is attached as well as the screenshots of my reply for clarity,” Scott said.

“I have conducted non-verbal analysis of multiple seasons of MAFS, numerous public figures (ranging from politicians and royalty through to reality TV cast members) and have done so without bias or targeting in any form. If people are in the media more regularly, there is subsequently more content to review and provide feedback on.”

Scott also claimed that he conducted these analysis videos after engaging with both Clint and Jacqui on social media.

“Some of my content regarding Clint and Jacqui was posted after receiving visits from Rice on my TikTok lives, comments on my Facebook from Burfoot and also being tagged in Instagram videos on Burfoot’s account, which were subsequently deleted,” Scott continued, before rehashing his qualifications in the non-verbal body language space.

“My intent with my videos always has been, and will continue to be, helping people be scholars of human connection in all its forms.”

Speaking to Chattr, Scott said that he’s received an overwhelming amount of supportive messages.

“The support has been overwhelmingly positive from people on the content I share and also the way it has helped them in different parts of their lives,” the body-language expert said.

“It is a little deflating that they would take this approach to send the letter, but I will focus on the positive impact that can occur from people understanding non-verbal communication better.”

Scott says that his comments and DMs have been filled with people who are happy for the newly betrothed couple, but think they should “just focus on the relationship and not have social media as their primary relationship focus”.

“I would imagine that they have had some negative feedback from some brands they were approaching due to their current public image trajectory, and if people don’t take accountability for their actions, they look for someone to blame,” Scott continued.

“It appears I am one of those targets.”

PEDESTRIAN.TV reached out to the MAFS stars for their opinion on the whole debacle.

“He’s been reported to the ACCC (Australian Competition & Consumer Commission),” Jacqui said.

If there’s one thing we’ve learnt about the MAFS stars, it’s that they’re not afraid of going to the big dogs when they’re unhappy with how they’re being treated.
