A body has been found on the bank of the River Thames in south-west London.
The Metropolitan Police were called at around 8.19am on Thursday to reports of a body on the Shingles Riverbank at Putney.
Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) attempted CPR but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police said at this stage the death is being treated as unexplained, pending further investigation.
Last year, the Marine Policing Unit found the remains of 45 people from the River Thames, the highest number in recent years.
Around 324 bodies have been recovered from the Thames in the past 12 years, it emerged earlier this month as police searched the water for chemical attack suspect Abdul Ezedi.
Ezedi, 35, was wanted for a brutal chemical attack on a mother and her children in Clapham on January 31.
The bodies of two men were unexpectedly found while searching the river for Ezedi, who was caught on CCTV leaning over the railings of Chelsea Bridge in west London on January 31.
One body was discovered at 10.13am near to HMS Belfast and another 26 minutes later in Limehouse, the Metropolitan Police said.
Both deaths are being treated by the force as “unexpected pending further enquiries” with reports of recent missing people being checked.
On Tuesday the Met Police said a body had been recovered from the River Thames, that they believed to be Ezedi.
In a statement, police said the crew of a passing boat reported they had seen a body in the water at Tower Pier around 4pm on Monday.
