Body found in woodland confirmed to be that of missing man

The body of a man found in woodland near Monmouth has been formally identified. The discovery was made on Thursday, April 13, after 30-year-old Stewart McGinn was reported missing.

Gwent Police has now confirmed that formal identification has taken place and the body is that of Mr McGinn. His death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesman for the force said: "The body of a man, found in woodland near Monmouth on April 13, has now been formally identified as Stewart McGinn. The 30-year-old had been reported as missing to police. His death is not being treated as suspicious and our thoughts remain with his family at this time."
