A BODY has been found in the search for a teenager reported missing after going hillwalking.

Police Scotland previously launched an appeal to help trace Kamile Gimbutyle, 18, and have provided an update that a body was found on Monday in the Eildon Hill area of Melrose. 

Kamile was also know nas Rhian (Image: Police Scotland) Formal identification is yet to take place, but the family of the missing teenager, also known as Rhian, has been informed.

There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
