Police have found a body during the search of a missing woman from Wigan. Janice Cleworth, 46, was last seen on Charles Street in the area of Leigh at around 4pm on May 25.
A GMP spokesperson has confirmed that a female was sadly found dead on Saturday (June 4).
An appeal was launched on Thursday (June 2) after she had been missing for over a week. Greater Manchester Police released an image of Janice, also known as Janice Twist, in a bid to help find her.
The appeal that had more than a thousand shares also showed the hoodie that Janice was last seen wearing which had 'Clewy 7' written on the back. She was wearing black skinny jeans, trainers and a pink shoulder handbag.
A file has been passed to the coroner.
