A body has been found in the search for missing Kilmarnock man Ryan Cree.
Police have confirmed that the body of a man was discovered in the High Glencairn Street area of Kilmarnock at 11am today.
Officials say that formal identification has yet to take place but Ryan Cree's family have been informed of the tragic find.
Police say there doesn't appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
A statement from Police Scotland reads: "Around 11am on Friday, November 4, the body of a man was found in the High Glencairn Street area of Kilmarnock.
"Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of Ryan Cree, reported missing from the local area, has been informed.
"There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances."
Police last night detailed a fresh sighting of Ryan Cree after he vanished in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The sighting within the Low Glencairn Street area, which runs into High Glencairn Street, was made on Sunday at around 2.30am.
This sighting followed Ryan being seen around 1.30am on Sunday at Central Avenue, in the Shortlees area of the town.
