Officers searching for missing Gateshead man Kyle Bird have sadly found a body.
Kyle, 33, was last seen getting off a bus at the Metrocentre interchange on April 23, and had been reported as missing after failing to make contact with his loved ones.
An extensive search was launched and a number of enquiries were carried out to locate Kyle, but sadly a body was found last night, just off Shibdon Bank in Blaydon.

Formal identification has yet to take place but officers believe it to be Kyle. His family are being supported by specialist officers at this distressing time.
Police do not believe there to be any third party involvement in his death and a report will now be made for the coroner.
Detective Chief Inspector Angela Hudson, of Northumbria Police, said: "This is a very sad update which we hoped we would not have to give.
"Our thoughts are with Kyle’s friends and family during this difficult time and we would ask that their privacy is respected while they come to terms with what has happened.
"We want to thank everyone who shared our appeal, as well as all our officers, partners and everyone else who assisted with our search. It is hugely appreciated."
