A body has been found in the search for a 28-year-old chef who had been missing since Tuesday.
Suchhem Gurung vanished from his home in Overdown Road, Tilehurst, near Reading and there were concerns for his welfare.
A volunteer search team had been drafted in to try to find Suchhem, who was wearing a chef's white top when he was last seen, but the hunt for his was called off when a body was discovered.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said today: "A body has been found in the search for a missing man from Reading.
"Suchhem Gurung, aged 28 years, was last seen on Tuesday. Following searches carried out by Thames Valley Police and Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue, a body was found which is believed to be Suchhem.
"His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the Berkshire coroner."
Superintendent Zahid Aziz, based at Newbury police station, said: "Sadly following searches we have found the body of a man that we believe to be Suchhem.
"His family have been informed and are being offered support.
“Thank you to Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue who assisted with the searches and to the public who shared our appeal.”
A search was carried out by Thames Valley Police and Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue and a body was found last night on June 8.
Thames Valley Police had previously appealed to find Suchhem, saying he was last seen at around 1pm on Tuesday, June 7 in the Overdown Road area of Reading, wearing black trousers and a black jacket with a white chef's top.
