Body found in search for missing Andrew Linton who vanished last month

A body has been found in the search for missing Andrew Linton who vanished over a month ago.

Officers discovered the body at Eglington Country Park in Kilwnning at around 11am on Sunday, March 26.

Cops say formal identification has yet to take place however the family of 39-year-old Andrew have been informed.

There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Andrew was reported missing at 5.35am from Crosehill on Wednesday, February 22..

His wife Alison had previously begged her beloved husband to come home to his family.

She said: “This is totally out of character for Andrew to worry his family like this.

"All family and friends are worried sick, we love and miss Andrew and just want him home and to be safe.

"Please come home Andrew I love you and need you home you are my life.”
