The search for a teenager missing for over two weeks has been stood down following the discovery of a body
Vincent Dillon, aged 19, was reported missing from his home in Dundalk, Co Louth on the early morning of Sunday, May 14.
Gardai issued a missing persons appeal on Wednesday, May 17 stating that his family were “concerned for his welfare”.

They described Vincent as being around 5’6” tall, with a slim build, fair hair and blue eyes. It was not known what he was wearing when he went missing.
A renewed appeal was made on Sunday, May 21.
Today, a Garda spokesperson confirmed that the appeal has been stood down following the discovery of a body in Dundalk on Thursday, May 25.
They thanked the public for their help tracing him.
“Following the discovery of a body in Dundalk, Co. Louth on Thursday, 25th May 2023, the missing person appeal for Vincent Dillon (19 years) has been stood down.
“An Garda Síochána would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance.
“No further media action is required and no further information is available at this time,” they said.
