Police searching for a man reported missing on Saturday night have discovered a body in Glasgow.
Daniel Rooney, 37, vanished from the Dukes Road area in Rutherglen, Lanarkshire, and was last seen at around 10.40pm on September 3.
His disappearance sparked a frantic search as police appealed for information. Tragically, officers have confirmed a body has been found in Glasgow.
He is yet to be formally identified, but Daniel's family have been informed. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: A body has been found in Glasgow during searches for Daniel Rooney, 37, who had been reported missing from Rutherglen.
"He is yet to be formally identified but Mr Rooney’s family has been made aware. There are no apparent suspicious circumstances."
