An ‘unexplained death’ probe has been launched by police after a body was found in a Perth flat amid the search for a missing man.
The grim discovery was made at a property in the Primrose Crescent area of the city at around 11.30pm on Sunday, December 40.
Formal identification has yet to take place, however, the family of Steven McNamee have been informed. An investigation into the circumstances of the death remains ongoing.
The 50-year-old, who is also known as Max, was last seen on November 29 in the Letham area before being reported missing to Police Scotland.
Officers said they were growing increasingly concerned for his health and wellbeing after he failed to make contact with worried loved ones.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal as is the case with all sudden deaths.
