Body found in Dundee in search for missing Scots mum Sharon Hutchison

A body has been found in the search for a missing Scots mum who vanished nine days ago. Sharon Hutchison was last seen in the early hours of Saturday, July 30 in the Provost Road area of Dundee.

The 54-year-old's disappearance prompted a frantic police search, with officers carrying out door-to-door enquiries in the area and studying available CCTV footage.

Cops have now confirmed that the body of a woman was found at Sandeman Street shortly after 1pm today.

Although enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the passing, Sharon's family have been informed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At around 1.15pm on Monday, 8 August, 2022 the body of a woman was found at Sandeman Street, Dundee.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. The family of missing person Sharon Hutchison have been informed."
