Body found amid search for missing Polish man last seen in Aberdeen

A body has been found in the search for a missing Polish man who was last seen in Aberdeen earlier this week.

Formal identification is yet to take place but the family of missing 39-year-old Jakub Ziomko have been informed.

Police Scotland confirmed the body of was recovered from the water at Seal’s Cove Bay near Findon, around 1pm on Saturday.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death.

Jakub was reported missing after he was last seen in the Findon, Portlethen area around 12pm on Tuesday.

He was last spotted wearing a North Face camouflage jacket and carrying a brown bag.

A Police Scotland statement released today said: "Police Scotland can confirm that the body of a man was recovered from the water at Seal’s Cove Bay near Findon, around 1pm on Saturday, 12 February, 2022.

"Formal identification is yet to take place, however the family of Jakub Ziomko, reported missing from the Portlethen area on Tuesday, 8 February, has been made aware.

"There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
